Prayer Ministry

Requests for prayer can be sent to

At the Vineyard, our highest value is the pursuit of God. We are hungry to know and experience God’s presence, hear His voice and follow hard after Him. At the Vineyard, prayer is the ultimate way we communicate with God and includes both lifting up our petitions to Him and listening for his response. Prayer opens the spiritual portal to release God’s power upon the earth. It has been said that the “people of Vineyard pray for things to happen” and we gladly own that. We are eager to see God’s power transform lives, bring healing, reconciliation and peace to our troubled world. Prayer is more than a spiritual discipline, in that it’s more than something we have to do, it’s the way we grow our relationship with our Heavenly Father, so it’s something we want to do throughout the day – being in constant communion with Him.

Our Prayer Ministry includes:

Prayer Team – The Prayer Team is made up of individuals with a heart for prayer who have been trained to minister during worship and at the close of our Sunday Celebrations. Additionally, members of the Prayer Team along with the Elders are available for individual prayer sessions as requested. The Prayer Team can pray for any need but are trained in the following areas:

For salvation

For healing (spiritual, physical, and/or emotional*)

Impartation of the Holy Spirit

Spiritual attacks including generational curses, oppression, and deliverance

Intercessory Prayer – Members of the Vineyard can request to be part of the Prayer Chain and receive needs via email. No special training is required for this ministry. Our Prayer Chain is available to any request for prayer from members and non-members.

Bi-monthly prayer meetings – The church is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 6:30 pm for corporate or individual prayer. This is a good time to receive focused prayer or join with members in lifting our petitions to the Lord corporately. Each session may be different in structure as we allow the Holy Spirit to direct our time.

* Extensive ministry in this area is available through our Healing Care Ministry.
